Easy Ways to Make a Payment

1. Through Your Bank (Online, Mobile, or In-Branch)

Set us up as a bill payment either under:

  • Northern or We Financial

If you need help, a bank teller or phone banking specialist can assist you in setting up the bill payment. Note that you will need your 12 digits account number.

2. In-Store

Make a payment at any Northern store, including Black Lake, Stoney Rapids, or any other Northern location.

3. By Phone

Call our toll-free 1-866-963-2477 number to make a payment using your credit card.

Why Paying On Time Matters

Do not let your account become overdue. Late payments can significantly impact your credit history and will affect your ability to obtain financing in the future — whether for a vehicle, furniture, ATV, snowmachine, or other major purchases.

We Visa Prepaid Card - Important Information

Your We Visa Prepaid Card will continue to work with any funds currently available on your card.

How to Load Funds?

1. Direct Deposit
  • Deposit funds for free using your DDA number (found online or in the mobile app under “Direct Deposit”) or by calling the number on the back of your Visa card, 1-855-887-3946
  • Have your payroll or government payments (Child Tax, GST, Tax Refunds, EI, and etc) deposited directly onto your We Visa.
2. Bank Transfer
Transfer funds from any Bank by setting us up a bill payment either under:
  • Northern or We Financial
If you need help, a bank teller or phone banking specialist can assist you in setting up the bill payment.
3. In Person
  • Visit any Northern or Valu Lots location to load funds onto your card.

Lost, Stolen, or Need a New Card?

If your We Visa card is lost or stolen, do not worry! Simply call 1-855-887-3946 number and we will assist you with getting a replacement.

If you have never had a We Visa card and would like to open one, you can sign up at any Northern store, including Black Lake, Stoney Rapids, or any other Northern / Valu Lots location.

Tax Return Services - File With Confidence

You can have your tax return prepared at any Northern location, including Black Lake and Stoney Rapids, Valu Lots store as well as through Email with WFS Tax.

If someone else in the community is offering tax filing services, they may not be able to offer what we can.

Northern offers a Fast Cash option, allowing eligible customers to receive their refund immediately — instead of waiting for CRA processing and Canada Post delivery of your refund cheque.

  • The opportunity to access Fast Cash (available to many eligible customers)
Visit the nearest store to call WFS Tax to file your tax return and ask about the Fast Cash option today.

How to file via email

1. Complete the form and gather all applicable documents listed on the second page of the attachment.

2. Submit the completed form and documents to We Financial Tax Services
(email wfstax@northwest.ca or fax 1-204-942-8065).
We will contact you if additional information is needed.

3. Review and e-sign the forms sent via email, then provide payment when contacted. The return will be filed with the CRA after all forms are signed and payment is received.
